This is a smoothie that Aoife has been having throughout her pregnancy. It is packed with fibre and bursting with nutrients to support your body and your baby. The greens are a source of iron and the clementine adds vitamin C to help your body absorb the iron. The dates add a subtle sweetness and we have all heard how beneficial dates can be when it comes to labour preparation!
Not only is this smoothie incredibly nutritious, but it's thick, creamy and also tastes great.
Ingredients:
Frozen Banana
1/2 Avocado
Handful Kale or Spinach
1 Clementine
2 Dates
1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
Water 200ml ish
Ice
Method:
1) Add all ingredients to your blender.
2) Blend until smooth.
3) To make it feel extra fancy, serve in a class smeared with yogurt and top with granola (optional, but very much recommended!).
